Warehouse & Distribution Manager | D2C & B2B | Retail | Belfast | c.£55k + bonus

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehousing & Distribution Managers to manage and lead the distribution centre. The business itself is a market leading multi-channel retailer partnering with some of the biggest brands in their space. Applicants must have experience of running and leading a large scale distribution centre, ideally in retail.
The Warehouse & Distribution Manager will have the opportunity to build and create a team around them in the near future as the retailer continues expansion and will report directly into the Head of Logistics who has oversight of the Belfast DC and the new DC in Dublin.
The role as Warehouse and Distribution Manager:
Bringing a passion for customer satisfaction through operating a highly performing distribution centre you will take personal responsibility for:
• Leading, motivating and inspiring the Distribution team, ensuring the team have a clear understanding of delegated tasks and overall strategy. You will lead by example to promote continuous improvement in all tasks and deliver informative and motivational team briefs to distribute messages and changes in the Business.
• Manage the performance of the Distribution team including investigations/disciplinaries when required, provide effective coaching and enforce consistent delivery of REACH principles.
• Investigate customer complaints with the Distribution team and present learnings to the rest of the Distribution team as appropriate .
• Continuous improvement of standards of health and safety and security in the work environment, and enforcing this along with Company rules.
• Ensure consistent high quality internal and external vehicle standards through management of the distribution team.
• Manage staff to achieve consistently high standards in the warehouse and loading process.
• Maintain standards throughout the entire site including maintenance and reporting issues.
• Responsible for all aspects of stock movement including the receipt, storage and dispatch of all stock.
• Focus on business processes such as stock accuracy, picking accuracy and delivery efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous Warehouse Management experience, with knowledge of the retail sector, customer trends and needs.
• Leading by example, always completing tasks to a high standard and holding others to this standard while taking ownership for both person and team performance to ensure KPIs are met.
• Work under pressure and react quickly to any developments which may arise
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, and consistently demonstrate candour at all times
• Proactively assess, analyse and develop actionable plans to monitor stock, and improve distribution teams performance
• Proactive approach, focusing on continuous improvement of service delivery and compliance with company policy and standards
Warehouse & Distribution Manager package:
• c.£55k
• Achievable bonus up to 20%
