Responsibilities
The Warehouse Equipment Operator maintains and moves inventory accurately in various ways by using motor powered equipment including, but not limited to, forklifts, electric tuggers, and pallet jacks
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
Operates warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
Store inventory with use of equipment by stacking and arranging in designated area
Pull and prepare orders for shipment by labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking for shipment
Verify orders for accuracy of placement in staging lines
Assists in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse by keeping work area clean and orderly and by cleaning trailers and truck bays as requested
When assigned to Freezer - Load and unload freight from trucks in an efficient and safe manner
Performs additional duties as directed
Equipment Used: Forklifts, electric tuggers, pallet jacks, as well as electronic headset, hand jacks, two-wheeled dolly, tape gun, and utility knife
Constant standing, walking, climbing and stooping
Frequent bending, twisting and reaching when picking, packing and moving product
Frequent talking and hearing; use of the electronic headset device and in-person communication
Frequent use of near and far vision when picking, packing and moving product
Frequent handling: processing, picking up, sorting and checking in orders, etc
Often lifting and carrying: 75 pounds or less, depending on assigned location
Often pushing and pulling: loaded boxes on rollers and cart/dolly
