Role and Responsibilities:
In the role of a Warehouse Helper, you will be pivotal in the smooth operation of the distribution process, overseeing the accurate handling and distribution of merchandise from the point of arrival to dispatch.
• Conduct the movement of goods in and out of trailers.
• Validate, examine, and review goods with remote technology to ensure order accuracy and identify any potential damages.
• Categorize, isolate, mark, and bundle merchandise for transfer to the appropriate zones within the distribution center.
• Employ power lift machinery to facilitate the movement and storage of goods.
• Restore depleted areas with items identified in replenishment screens or reports to keep stock levels optimal.
• Fulfill merchandise orders by transferring items from active storage areas to packaging or shipping points.
• Load merchandise onto trailers by moving items from a conveyor belt to the trailer or from a pallet directly to the trailer, and conduct scans on any merchandise that is not conveyable or cannot be diverted before loading.
• Check the merchandise to confirm the accuracy of the shipment, ascertain their condition, and load them onto the correct trailer.
• Undertake standard cleaning tasks to promote a neat and hazard-free workspace.
• Alter tasks to suit different roles within the department and the changing needs of the distribution center.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Possession of a high school diploma or an approved substitute is a must.
• Able to lift objects weighing as much as 70 lbs.
• Competence in accommodating changes in job responsibilities and departmental rotations.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous warehouse experience.
