Job Description
One of our manufacturing clients in Calgary, AB region is looking for a Warehouse Lead Hand for their facility.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of products.
• Manage and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Monitor and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse space and layout.
• Handle and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to warehouse operations.
• Prepare and maintain detailed reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and other key metrics.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Solid understanding of inventory control procedures and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
