Responsibilities

Administers training and certification processes to ensure that all associates are capable of operating material handling equipment (MHE) in a safe and productive manner

Responsible to prioritize workload assignments and communicate priorities throughout the shift; works closely with the Team Leader and associates to correct errors and resolve day-to-day process problems

Provides leadership on the shift and fosters positive employee relations through effective communication

Ensures any maintenance or repair issues for the building facilities, vehicles and equipment area addressed and communicated to the Plant Services Manager

Actively pursues feedback from associates to identify and resolve process or procedural issues to improve productivity and expedite workflow within the shift

Examine and monitor Warehouse associates work for exactness, neatness and conformance to quality and productivity standards, common practice and procedures; provides mentoring, coaching, and suggests training in the cultivation and development of associates and team leaders

Exemplifies safe work behaviors and champions safe work practices with all associates

Participates in special projects and assignments as required

Performs other duties as assigned
