Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations Management:
Supervise daily warehouse operations to ensure smooth functioning.
Oversee the receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of food products.
Plan, organize, and coordinate the allocation of work for warehouse staff.
Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate stock levels and perform regular stock audits.
Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements.
Ensure proper labeling and organization of food items to prevent contamination or spoilage.
Food Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act), and local health and safety standards.
Implement and monitor practices to ensure that all food products are stored and handled in a safe and sanitary manner.
Ensure correct temperature control for perishable items and maintain appropriate records.
Staff Management:
Lead, train, and develop warehouse team members, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and productivity goals.
Conduct performance evaluations and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Organize shift scheduling and ensure sufficient manpower to meet operational demands.
Logistics Coordination:
Work closely with the transportation team to coordinate shipments and deliveries.
Track and report on warehouse productivity, including inbound and outbound logistics.
Ensure accurate preparation of orders for dispatch.
Equipment & Facility Management:
Ensure the warehouse is properly equipped with all necessary tools and machinery.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and refrigeration units.
Ensure that the warehouse is clean, organized, and compliant with safety and hygiene standards.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records for inventory, shipping, and receiving activities.
Prepare reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and warehouse performance metrics for management.
Address and resolve any discrepancies in inventory or shipment.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction in warehouse operations.
Implement best practices and improve efficiency in receiving, storing, and shipping food products.
Stay updated with trends and technologies in warehouse management and food industry logistics.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹38,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
