Warehouse & Distribution Manager | D2C & B2B | Retail | Belfast | c.£55k + bonus

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehousing & Distribution Managers to manage and lead the distribution centre. The business itself is a market leading multi-channel retailer partnering with some of the biggest brands in their space. Applicants must have experience of running and leading a large scale distribution centre, ideally in retail.
The Warehouse & Distribution Manager will have the opportunity to build and create a team around them in the near future as the retailer continues expansion.
The role as Warehouse and Distribution Manager:
• Hire and build new distribution team from scratch to encompass the values and work ethics of the team.
• Lead, motivate and inspire the Distribution team, ensuring the team have a clear understanding of delegated tasks and overall strategy.
• Lead by example to promote continuous improvement in all tasks
• Manage the performance of the Distribution team, provide effective coaching and enforce consistent delivery of REACH principles
• Investigate customer complaints with the Distribution team and present learnings to the rest of the Distribution team as appropriate
• Monitor and assess the Distribution team member performance including through disciplinary process as appropriate
• Enforce health standards, safety and security procedures and company rules.
• Deliver informative and motivational team briefs to distribute messaging and communicate change to the business from HO.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous Warehouse Management experience, with knowledge of the retail sector, customer trends and needs.
• Excellent operational knowledge and understanding of specific customer, systems, and procedures.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide the budgetary and financial controls
• Manages business through effective use of Key Performance Indicators.
• Competent in developing, reviewing, and reporting budgets. Responsible for achieving profit targets.
• Continuous Improvement and focused on leading and developing teams.
