Minimum of 5 years of warehouse experience
Minimum of 5 years as a supervisor, preferably in a food warehouse
Must be trained in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Preventative Controls Lead Instructor (PCQI)
Proficient in high volume shipping and experienced with schedule planning in a shipping/warehouse environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Warehouse/inventory management system
Forklift experience
Responsibilities
Position Description: Leads, directs and supervises warehouse operations and personnel and supervises the processes associated with the shipping and receiving of product to ensure product integrity and warehouse inventory accuracy
This includes planning and scheduling the work force to meet daily demands and overseeing security and cleanliness in local facility
Verifies all personnel are present and well suited to work
Supervise the processes associated with the shipping and receiving of product
Oversee required inventory moves and ensure they are completed in a timely manner
Delegates, trains, and manages the work activities of Warehouse Team
Provides performance feedback, coaching and mentoring, periodic review and as-needed performance improvement plans with assistance from management
Collaborates with the hiring, pay, counseling and discipline of Warehouse Team
Protect CGW’s assets by monitoring and verifying operation of various systems, including facility security systems and alarm status; ensure visitors are controlled and monitored; and ensure facility cleanliness within GMP standards
Verify all required warehouse logs encompassing facility temperature and sanitation are completed in a timely manner and take action and/or follow-up when deficiencies are noted
Verify / monitor the pest control program including reporting broken traps and increased rodent activity to third party contractor
Oversee damaged product inspection
Ensure cross training and development of qualified employees
Ensure efficient space utilization
Maintain a safe work environment and observe all safety requirements
Ensure the Warehouse Team receives appropriate training: Forklift, Good Manufacturing Process (GMP), Emergency Action Plans, Allergen Program, Food Safety, and Food Defense
Oversee Safety Quality Food (SQF) system as an SQF Practitioner
Recommends for approval and schedules various repairs and preventive maintenance
Maintains a positive relationship with team members, vendors, and customers
Other duties as necessary
