Responsibilities

Warehouse Managers play a key role in helping their retail partners deliver best-in-class customer service

They have direct P&L and operational responsibility for a warehouse and serve as inventory control SMEs, including breakage and shrink - for store managers and leaders

To be successful, the Warehouse Manager must create an engaging culture, identify and develop a team of warehouse associates, and ensure they supply inventory in a cost-effective and timely manner to their retail partners

They must implement Safelite's best practices and processes that cascade down from the region yet continually surface new ideas and approaches to Safelite leadership

They must be flexible and adaptable as Safelite's business model continues to evolve

Team Development and Retention

Hires, coaches, trains, and develops warehouse associates-providing both informal and formal job performance-based feedback

Engages and inspires the warehouse associates

Creates a positive and engaging work environment where people are motivated to perform their best

Warehouse Operations Management

Oversees warehouse, inventory, fleet and material handling for the warehouse

Leads the warehouse breakage and shrink reductions and is a subject matter expert for stores and inventory control

Business Strategy Implementation

Sets and communicates the strategy for the warehouse along with the actions needed to implement it

Inspires the workforce to commit to the strategy and translate the strategies into actions needed from each team member to achieve it

P&L Management

Manages P&L of the warehouse and allocation of the budget

Responsible for operational expenses, breakage and shrink

Ensures national, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, CLD, DOT and MHE) are being followed in the warehouse

Identify instances of risky behaviors within the warehouse and take appropriate actions, escalating serious issues as appropriate

Keep the warehouse up to date on safe working methods

Performs other duties as assigned

Complies with all policies and standards

Change Management - Communicates change and the reasons for change effectively

Prepares appropriate change plans for the workforce and anticipates and mitigates confusion, resistance, and conflict

Analyzes data and trends - Utilizes spreadsheets and reporting to address underperformance in the warehouse

Navigates spreadsheets to address changing needs and trends

Policy and Regulation - Provides guidance and training to others while interpreting and applying comprehensive knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies in the warehouse

A Brief Overview

Warehouse Managers play a key role in helping their retail partners deliver best-in-class customer service. Education Qualifications

Experience Qualifications

4-6 years leadership and supervision experience Preferred

Skills And Abilities

Forklift certification, preferred

Experience With Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Preferred
