We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operator to join our expanding team at Northern Recycling Solutions. A family run business with 35 employees, we have a dedicated team providing top-class waste services to hundreds of customers across the North of Scotland. Having recently completed our new Resource Recovery Centre we are looking for an environmentally motivated individual to help us achieve our goal of reducing the carbon footprint of waste in the Highlands.
We are looking for a team player, who is reliable and adaptable, with a strong work ethic. Opportunities for training and progression are also available to individuals who excel.
Main duties will include:
· Sorting/segregating of recyclable and general waste materials
· Shredding of paper and other confidential waste
· Baling & storing of sorted waste
· Wire Stripping for copper recovery
· Safe operation of Company plant and equipment
· Forklift operation (training will be provided)
· Maintaining and cleaning equipment/skips/bins
· Maintaining housekeeping levels within the warehouse and main yard
· Duties involve regular light, medium and heavy lifting
Employees may be called upon to carry out other tasks out-with this list. Employees will be required to work both inside the warehouse and outside in the main yard and may be required to work at other locations. All duties mentioned above to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Company policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be recruited to the British Standard BS 7858, which requires a disclosure Scotland check, reference checks and a confidentiality agreement to be signed. You should have an adaptable and flexible approach, and work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
A forklift licence would be beneficial although not essential as training will be given. Standard works shifts are Tuesday to Saturday, occasional Monday over time shifts available.

Pay: £11.50-£12.80 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
