Warehouse Operatives (nights)

We are currently recruiting for a Nightshift General Operative to run operations for a contract with a key customer, Howdens at our site in Erith.
Salary: £27,744.08 plus £1800 per annum nightshift allowance
Shift Pattern: Monday- Saturday morning, 40 hours a week between the hours of 23:00 and 08:30 am

Key responsibilities:
Receiving, picking, putting away, replenishment and dispatch. Participating in general warehouse duties where manual handling would be involved in the process.
Continuous Improvement
Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and improvement in business operation and customer service
Communication
Ensure any concerns, issues or variances to instructions are immediately communicated to your line manager to allow appropriate action to be taken at the earliest opportunity
Ensure all company procedures are adhered to, including absence, performance, standards of behaviour, taking due consideration of company values.
Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, escalating any concerns to your line manager at the earliest opportunity
Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, raising any defects to the Line Manager
Key requirements
GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
Previous warehouse and manual handling experience including handling goods as part of a two-person team (worktops and fire doors)
Awareness of manual handling techniques
Confidence in using IT systems
Ability to withstand pressure and work to tight deadlines
Ability to work as part of a team
Attention to detail
Good level of communication, including a good understanding of both written and verbal English
