Responsibilities
Position Summary: The Quality Control Tech monitors the production processes to ensure product is within food and safety quality standards
Inspect and test raw materials to ensure vendor compliance with specifications and established procedures
As required, monitor current procedures to assure compliance to required specifications, reporting any findings to QA Manager for needed changes or adjustments
Put non-conforming product or unsanitary processing equipment on HOLD status
Perform technical operations such as taking and/or shipping samples, examining/analyzing product, recording results and taking appropriate corrective action
Assist with the completion of reports requested by management
Clean, maintain, and sanitize all equipment used in the Quality Control area according to established sanitary rules, regulations, and maintenance/calibration procedures
Basic cleaning of the lab including sweeping, dusting, and cleaning the counters
Inputting analytical data
Assist HR with the recruitment, hiring and training of sanitation personnel
Deliver samples for testing to outside laboratories
Perform all other duties as assigned
Delegate responsibilities effectively
Incumbents will follow any other instructions, and perform any other related duties as assigned by their supervisor
