Welcome to one of the fastest growing outdoor store, tours, and rentals establishment.
Our rental service proudly operates out of Surrey and serves the Greater Vancouver Area and Canada. Our unique business model allows us to be a mobile service, which means our patrons get to experience many of the outdoor wonders in multiple locations with delivery, pick up, and personalized itinerary. Our mission is to enable locals and tourists to expand their experience of BC, get active, and lead a healthier lifestyle.
This position will be located within various locations in the Greater Vancouver Area, and primarily in person in our Surrey office/warehouse. The position also requires weekend availability.

• SUMMARY:
Adventure Outdoors is looking for Operations & Warehouse Specialist to join our team. In this role you will be responsible maintaining our warehouse equipment as well as interacting with customers, providing demonstrations and participating in community activities. If you enjoy working in a physically demanding environment and providing top knotch customer service, then this position is for you
• REPORTS TO:CEO
• REQUIREMENTS:
The applicant must:
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, has work permit, or person whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and are legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
- Be able to work evenings and weekends.
- Have Full BC Drivers License.
- Have a vehicle to be used as a delivery vehicle (fair compensation will be provided)
- Forklift License an asset
• MUST HAVE SKILLS & CHARACTERISTICS:
• Leadership:
- Takes initiative and is solutions oriented
- Takes appropriate approach to problems at hand
- Takes ownership of successes and areas of improvement
• Business Operations:
- Participates in physically demanding work and is able to lift over 50 lbs objects
- Deliver and pickup equipment and orders
- Form efficient warehouse processes and upkeep/ enhance organization
• Client Services:
- Ability to communicate efficiently and professionally with clients
- Interact with clients on behalf of the company
- Process, ship, and deliver orders
• Teamwork:
- Works well with others
- Able to coordinate tasks, share resources, plan, make decisions, negotiate, solve conflicts and complete other activities that involve teamwork and customers
- Can handle independent work during unsupervised hours
• Communication:
- Able to produce concise information that is in both writing and verbal
- Able to provide detailed research-based responses to questions and keep others informed of work
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional demeanor with strong active listening skills
• Digital Skills:
- Able to learn and use Google Suite, Calendly, and other modern technology
• DAILY DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:
- Assist with transporting equipment to and from our Surrey office
- Assist with handling bulky and heavy outdoor equipment
- Assist with instructing customers on the use of equipment and safety procedures
- Assist with installing and taking down car accessories
- Assist with maintenance of equipment in the warehouse as well as picking up and dropping off equipment to customers
- Process orders and ship them out
• Job Types:
- Part Time Contractor with potential for full time employment transition
• Pay:
$17.75 per hour
• Difficulty: Entry
• If you believe you will be an outstanding applicant, but don't have the necessary certifications and training, the courses and supplies can be provided for you with a deferred payment option.
Contract length: 3 to 6 months with high likelihood of extension
Work Location: Onsite within 12160 103A Ave, Surrey, BC V3V 3G8.
Expected start date: ASAP
