We are currently looking to recruit a PM Shift Warehouse Returns Team Leader who is available to start as soon as possible based at our depot in Magna Park, Lutterworth.
About the role
The Warehouse Returns Team Leader is a pivotal role within our UK-based logistics operation, responsible for leading a team that manages the return of products, with a strong emphasis on hands-on involvement alongside other warehouse colleagues. We seek an organised, detail-oriented individual with a passion for process improvement and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and supervise a team of warehouse operatives, working side by side with them on the shop floor, ensuring the smooth processing of returns.
· Provide hands-on guidance, training, and support to team members to help them meet performance targets and maintain a high standard of work.
· Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, contributing to a culture of teamwork.
· Oversee the efficient handling of returns, including heavy and bulky items, actively participating in the physical work to ensure items are properly inspected, documented, and processed in adherence to company procedures.
· Implement and enforce quality control standards to preserve the quality of returned items.
· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate returns processing and ensure timely issue resolution.
· Monitor inventory levels of returned items and collaborate with relevant teams to maintain accurate stock records.
· Identify opportunities for minimising returns and reducing product damage during returns processing.
· Ensure that all team members adhere to safety guidelines and consistently use the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Maintain compliance with industry regulations and uphold company policies.
· Generate regular reports on returns processing performance, including accuracy, timeliness, and inventory management.
· Maintain comprehensive records of returned items, documenting any damage, defects, or reasons for return.
· Liaise with suppliers when required.
Skills & requirements
To be considered for this role you will need:
· Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
· Experience of leading/managing team would be preferred, but not essential.
· Strong problem-solving skills, particularly related to returns processing and quality control.
· Familiarity with hands-on handling of heavy and bulky items.
· Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Capability to lift, carry, and move heavy and bulky items.
· Comfort working on the shop floor alongside other warehouse colleagues.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (40 hours per week)
Shift Pattern: PM Shift - 2 pm to 10.30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Salary: £25,000 per annum
