We’re recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor to work our manufacturing client based in Chesterfield. We are looking for a proactive and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Chesterfield to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse.
This is an excellent opportunity for those with previous supervisory experience and enjoys setting up new systems, implementing procedures and supervising staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily warehouse operations: Supervise the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment.
• Team leadership: Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.
• Inventory management: Ensure accurate stock levels, monitor inventory control, and conduct regular stock checks.
• Health and Safety: Ensure that all warehouse operations comply with company policies and health & safety regulations.
• Process improvements: Identify areas for process improvement to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain warehouse equipment: Oversee the proper use and maintenance of warehouse machinery and equipment.
• Reporting: Prepare and maintain regular reports on warehouse productivity, stock levels, and staff performance.
Key Requirements:
• Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Leadership skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate a team to achieve targets.
• Health & Safety: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within a warehouse environment.
