We are urgnetly looking for a warehouse team leader.
£31.5K plus shift pay. split earlies and lates, week about. Earlies is 06:00-14:40hrs / Lates is 10:30-1+:00hrs - Daily shift allowances are: Early £8.28 / Lates: £10.27
MUST have, complete 5-year work/checkable history and clean DBS. Counterbalance fork licence and refreshed with in the last 2 years. Reach truck licence would be nice. X-ray operator would be even better, but training can be supplied.
We work in aviation, so the traceable history with no gaps beyond 13 days, clean criminal record is essential and not colourblind (Xray operative cannot be colourblind).
This is very strict, as we have to comply with government agencies.
We have a small team of 4 working days within the warehouse, It can be fast paced at times and slow going at other times. We are very good with health and safety and have a strict retraining regime.
Applicant must be a little flexible for some overtime paid @ 1.5x. Being a small team, we rely on each other’s support.
There will be some travelling for the some of the induction training (1 day - usually Heathrow or Birmingham airport)
Roles will include:
Unloading/Loading of trucks
Unloading/Loading of shipping containers
Booking goods into our facility using computers/tables/scanners, so some computer knowledge is required as well as good literacy.
Picking and accurate labelling of goods for export
Picking of goods for domestic delivery
Use of both Electric Forklift trucks and Reach trucks.
Team Leader will be responsible to the safety of the team and ensuring the team are working accurately and to meet deadlines.
Screening of goods and threat detection by x-ray and hand search.
