Overview:
As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in managing a small team to deliver daily operational activities, ensuring that they meet or exceed customer service level agreements. You will be responsible for creating a positive and motivating atmosphere, upholding the organisations core values, and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
Shift Pattern: Monday -Friday14:00 - 22:30
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:

Lead, motivate, and manage a team to uphold operational standards, productivity, and safety in line with customer requirements and resource constraints.
Compliance & Safety:

Support, comply with, and ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, the company handbook, Quality standards, and all other company policies and procedures.
Incident Management:

Review and investigate incidents, respond accordingly, and escalate where necessary. Analyse risks and act to reduce or eliminate them.
Continuous Improvement:

Investigate operational and system inaccuracies, discover root causes, and implement actions to drive continuous improvement.
Training & Development:

Ensure that new staff are trained to the required standards and signed off on the correct Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Performance Management:

Understand area-specific KPIs, manage productivity, and positively challenge underachieving areas.
Communication:

Sustain corporate values and communicate roles and responsibilities clearly to the team. Form effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
System Management:

Drive the operation using primarily the system to ensure integrity and traceability.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Numerate with strong analytical and problem solving ability
Proficient in the use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), particularly JDA.
Confident communicator, capable of dealing with logistics professionals at all levels.
Ability to question, positively challenge, and improve upon existing processes.
High level of honesty, integrity, and resilience.
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and maintain calm under pressure.
Willingness to build strong interpersonal relationships with team members and other departments.
Desirable Qualifications:
IOSH Managing Safely .
First Aid training.
Experience:
Proven experience in managing a small team in a warehouse or logistics environment.
