Job Description: Warehouse Technician
Position Summary:
To manage warehouse operations, the Warehouse Warehouse Technician oversees the retail store's warehouse activities. Their duties include supervising warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators, as well as supporting the Receiving Warehouse Technician in scheduling daily freight to match inventory and customer requirements.
Warehouse Technician Major Duties:
• Organize the work schedule of warehouse personnel every day for streamlined shipment and reception.
• Manage the daily activities within the warehouse by assigning tasks related to shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control.
• When dealing with receiving errors in the Storage Buy process, it is important to stay organized and communicate proactively with all parties involved.
• Preserve the quality of your warehouse equipment with frequent maintenance and repair services.
• Maintain the safety and security of the warehouse by complying with all OSHA standards and guidelines.
• Conduct regular sessions to educate associates on standard procedures and ensure they remain up-to-date.
• Act as the main point of contact for employee complaints or grievances, and ensure their timely resolution.
• Establish effective communication channels with other departments to achieve warehouse coordination.
• Detailed activity reports will be generated for management that present an overview of all the company's activities, including sales, marketing, and production.
• Keep tabs on the progress of the paperwork as it moves from the Receiving team to the Inventory Control Specialist to avoid any delays.
• Solving Differences in Shipping, Invoices, Packing Slips, and Receiver Reports.
• Carry out the Audit Process for Storage Acquisition.
• Make the task of counting and inspection easier with stage products.
• The importance of inventory rotation and proper storage cannot be understated as it affects both product quality and profitability.
• Execute additional tasks as directed by the authoritative figures.
Warehouse Technician Professional Background:
• We need a candidate who has supervised employees in a warehouse or distribution center for a minimum of one to three years.
• Unparalleled expertise in building strong interpersonal connections, assembling cohesive teams, distributing responsibilities, and ensuring proper follow-up procedures.
• Being able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively through both written and spoken language.
• Seasoned in carrying out elementary arithmetic operations.
• Knowledgeable in the operation of Windows-oriented computer systems.
• Capacity to perform well in a rapidly moving work environment and fulfill set time limits.
• Preparedness to work overtime during times of increased demand.
PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
• The position requires an individual possessing the ability to occasionally carry, push, pull, move, or lift items up to 60 pounds and frequently manage things that weigh between 20-30 pounds.
• Ability to deftly manipulate and feel objects with dexterity and sensitivity.
• Even simple movements like reaching, balancing, and crawling can be habitual activities.
