YOUR ROLE IN OUR TEAM
The Warehouse Worker is an essential member of our distribution team, responsible for receiving product, completing required documentation, maintaining accurate inventory, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, safe operation of material handling equipment, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. The Warehouse Worker also ensures that all warehouse procedures, safety standards, and inventory controls are consistently followed.
THE CHALLENGES WE HAVE FOR YOU
Pick, check, pack, label, and count product accurately while completing all required paperwork in a timely manner
Operate material handling equipment—including forklifts and power jacks—safely and courteously
Load and unload trucks safely and properly at dock doors and in the yard
Follow warehouse dress code requirements, including safety vests, denim pants, and CSA approved steel toed footwear
Handle Dangerous Goods according to established packing, labeling, and no freezable product procedures & Government regulations
Ensure all products are packed, wrapped, and secured properly for shipment
Complete daily prestart inspections for forklifts and power jacks
Plug in equipment for recharging at the end of each shift as required.
Additional Duties
Report safety concerns, accidents, or staff issues immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor and Distribution Warehouse Operations Manager
Follow all warehouse rules, policies, and standard operating procedures
Load customer orders safely using material handling equipment or by hand when necessary
Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor with all customers
Perform general warehouse cleanup and housekeeping as needed
Use proper PPE and follow all WHMIS and Dangerous Goods handling procedures
Perform accurate RFI scanning in the warehouse (if applicable)
Maintain professionalism with customers and coworkers at all times
Put away incoming product that is properly labeled and UPC identified by the vendor
Perform other related duties as assigned.
THE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Previous warehouse or distribution experience preferred
Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and confidently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to lift, move, and handle products as required (up to company specified weight limits)
Strong communication skills and a customer focused attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with WHMIS and Dangerous Goods handling is an asset
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Schedule
Full time position
Day shift Mon-Fri 8 AM – 4:30 PM with a 1/2-hour lunch
Overtime may be required during peak periods
