About the Job
This is a full-time position in our warehouse team. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, shipping, and issuing District supplies, equipment, mail, and food.
Responsibilities
Receive, unload, and inspect shipments for damage and conformity to purchase order specifications and packing slips.
Contact vendors regarding shortages, damaged goods or other discrepancies.
Drive a District vehicle to various locations to pick up and deliver goods as assigned by the position.
Pull food orders from warehouse; load onto trucks; deliver food items to District sites and kitchens.
Shelve and store items received in the appropriate section of the warehouse.
Fill and process requisitions; pull, pack, and ship items or supplies to District locations according to established procedures.
Maintain warehouse in a clean and orderly condition.
Requirements
A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
A valid California Class A or B driver's license with air brake endorsement.
Two years of experience driving light trucks in delivery work or in a warehouse environment.
Work Environment
The work environment is in a warehouse setting with regular exposure to fumes, dust, and odors. The employee may be required to drive a vehicle during adverse weather conditions and work at heights.
