Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable and physically capable Waste Operatives to join our team working at Love Saves the Day The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of waste materials, including litter picking and waste sorting. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to environmental sustainability while working in a dynamic festival environment. The position involves manual labour, including litter picking and lifting.
There will be the option to camp on site for candidates that are not close enough to commute.
This role may require working overnight until 3am.
Responsibilities
Collect, sort, and dispose of waste materials in accordance with company procedures and environmental standards.
Ensure waste areas are kept clean, organised, and free from hazards.
Assist with the loading and unloading of waste containers using appropriate equipment.
Follow health and safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries.
Support recycling initiatives by separating recyclable materials from general waste streams.
Skills
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively as part of daily tasks.
Physically fit with good stamina to work in demanding environments.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to follow safety procedures diligently and work as part of a team.
Good communication skills to report issues clearly and accurately. This role is ideal for individuals who are proactive, safety-conscious, and physically resilient.
Pay: £13.45 per hour
