With unprecedented investment in the water sector, this role presents a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, passionate and committed leader, to build meaningful client relationships to sustain and grow the water market of GHD across Northern New South Wales, spanning from the Hawkesbury River to the Queensland border.

Who are we looking for?

Following a recent internal promotion, we are seeking applications for a key leadership and market position: Water Market Leader for Northern NSW . This pivotal role is responsible for driving revenue growth, leading major project opportunity identification and conversion across the state, driving business development, and cultivating strong relationships with both existing and new clients in the Water sector, and driving our national water market initiatives with other regional leaders. The ideal candidate will have a strong reputation in the Northern NSW Water market, prior experience operating at a Technical Director or Principal level, and a proven track record of winning and delivering major Water projects.

You will be involved in:

Driving the Northern NSW Region’s winning work strategy to grow GHD's client revenue
Leading proactive Business Development and Client focused activities as you maintain strong relationships, monitor the market for new opportunities and maintain a growth focus to maximise our success
Leading business development activities for major Water projects across Northern NSW, including responses to tenders and proposals, as well as representing the company at forums and industry events.
Collaborating with our Water Business Group to support our strategy
Providing technical leadership and direction on major tenders, bids, and proactive client proposals.
Collaborating across the APAC water market leader’s cohort to lead and support growth initiatives
Contributing to the leadership and success of the Northern NSW Region as a member of the Management Team
Coaching and mentoring staff to build high-performing teams and enhance business development capability.
What you will bring to the team:

A deep understanding of the water sector and a bold growth mindset
Strong network of contacts and clients in the Northern NSW market
Appropriate qualifications and significant industry and professional services experience
Effective and proven business development, strategy, networking and client relationship management skills.
You’ll be passionately client-centric: prioritise client needs and provide high-quality experience to our clients.
Experience growing market share and successfully leading/delivering projects in NSW or nationally.
