Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Responsible for Member Investment, wealth planning and advice
Direct advice on mutual funds and ongoing servicing of a book of business
Work to educate all other areas of the organization on wealth and to assist in referral flow to the Wealth Management Business.
Offer financial planning and refers members to appropriate levels of Wealth service or Insurance advisor when required.
Provide exceptional experience to our mid-tier Wealth members
Identify and leverage opportunities to engage in the promotion of ACU products and services through referrals to our partners

Act as an ambassador of ACU by being visible in the organization and the community support of corporate and community initiatives.
Be open to and provide consistent feedback, remaining committed to continuous improvement in ACU's core competencies.
Responsible for ensuring all regulatory requirements are met including KYP and KYC and operating within the guidance of our organization and our Wealth Mgt Firm, Aviso, expectations for compliance and product shelf.
Proactively develops and manages a portfolio of member relationships, assesses and anticipates individual member needs to maximize member relationships; develops a portfolio and contact management plan; conducts regular portfolio reviews with the member.
Responsible for assisting members in clarifying their individual or corporate financial goals and objectives in both their short-term and long-term perspective by assessing risk tolerance levels, analyzing financial information and delivering solutions.
Responsible for identifying and assessing potential needs of members and working in collaboration with other specialists in addressing these needs
Completes wealth planning (or financial planning if applicable) to develop investment strategies for members and provides financial advice on wealth management, insurance, tax planning, investment and retirement planning, and estate planning; refers members with complex financial planning needs to the Wealth Planner/Senior Wealth Advisor.
Responsible for meeting with existing members on a regular basis, typically once a year to assess and adjust their wealth plan (or financial planning if applicable)
Responsible for developing new business from existing members, external centers of influence, and branch sources
Facilitates referrals and the follow up for financial services not directly sold or delivered by this role; actively refers business opportunities to appropriate operational areas of our organization
Responsible for maintaining awareness of market conditions, new product offerings, taxation changes and service features available
Responsible and accountable for ensuring that all compliance and policy guidelines are adhered to and that every member has a clear understanding of the terms and conditions and potential risks of their investments
Responsible for cooperating with our partners at our wealth management firm Aviso to ensure our members have a seamless wealth experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and experience
The competencies for this position would typically be acquired through the completion of post-secondary education in a business-related field, along with two to three years of job-related experience in the financial sector, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A valid Mutual Funds license; PFP/CFP/ designation is required, or commitment to complete it within 1 year; completion of the Canadian Investment Funds (IFIC) course or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is required for this role

Strong interpersonal, verbal and presentation skills with the ability and passion to engage with others authentically, establish trust, and build long-lasting relationships
Experience and comfort with a fast-paced, complex work environment, and the ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities simultaneously, with an orientation toward delivering results.
Self-starter with ability to work independently & in a team environment
Previous work experience in a financial institution is required
Strong computer application skills required; must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Credit Union products and services is an asset
Knowledge of Credit Union policies, procedures and operations is an asset

***Travel will be required.
In this full time job, you will work 37.5 hour per week Monday-Friday.
