Job Description
Dedicated E-Technology Web App Developer to support current Smiths .Net applications, as well as building new applications to support new enhancements or projects.
This is a fixed term contract position for 12 months
Location - Bangalore / Pune
What you'll do:
• Provide and deliver solutions including estimates from the business and project requirements
• Monitor the .Net support ticket queue
• Proficient either in using VB.NET or C#, or even better, both languages
• Capable of handling many aspects of the application, including but not limited to performance, scalability, security, and testing
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Input into the continuous service improvement plans for .Net applications
• Input into the coding guidelines, governance, and versioning strategy
• Creation of internal Knowledge Base articles for users and update them
• Identify long running issues and act upon them through help from Vendors, other teams
• Setting up alerts and enforcing policies
• Identifying and reporting governance violations
• Be responsible for the development lifecycle - requirements gathering, written specifications, quality assurance, delivery, and documentation
• Input into and support the future roadmap strategy for .Net for Smiths
• Must be able to support the enhancements built on Java language and also to custom any minor enhancement on the same.
What you'll definitely need:
• BE/ B Tech with 3-5 years of experience
• Strong knowledge of .NET web framework
• Proficient in C# and/or VB.NET, with a good knowledge of their ecosystems
• Familiarity with the Mono framework
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
• Skill for writing reusable libraries
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
• Knowledge of concurrency patterns
• Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with popular web application frameworks
• Ability to write clean, readable, and easily maintainable code
• Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
• Experience creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Basic understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds
• Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git Bash, SVN and knowledge on Atlassian Bit Bucket, Jira, etc.
• Basic understanding/Knowledge on core Java/spring/spring boot/REST API/Hibernate/JPA.
