Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and creative Web Designer to join our dynamic team. As a Web Designer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing visually appealing and user-friendly websites. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in web design and possess a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in Java, HTML, Bootstrap, and Python.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
Design and create visually appealing and user-friendly websites using Java, HTML, Bootstrap, and Python.
Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups to effectively communicate design ideas.
Ensure website design complies with industry standards and best practices.
Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability.
Conduct user testing and gather feedback to improve website usability.
Collaborate with web developers and other team members to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in web design and development.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and provide innovative design solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in web design.
Strong proficiency in Java, HTML, Bootstrap, and Python.
Demonstrated ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly website designs.
Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Sketch.
Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to address them.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
A strong portfolio showcasing previous web design projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with JavaScript and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
Knowledge of UX/UI design principles.
Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
Understanding of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices.
