Job Description
Responsibilities :
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and actionable tasks.
Design, develop, test, and deploy custom e-commerce solutions using the Lamp (Linux, Apache / Nginx, MySQL, PHP) technology stack.
Customize Shopify 2.x and Magento 2.x themes, including layout modifications, UI/UX enhancements, and developing custom plugins.
Implement and integrate third-party APIs and plugins to enhance the functionality of eCommerce platforms.
Optimize website performance and ensure efficient utilization of server resources by fine-tuning database queries, caching, and other optimization techniques.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website functionality, performance, and integration with external systems.
Collaborate with front-end developers and design teams to translate visual concepts into functional, userfriendly online stores and ensure seamless back-end functionality.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Updating security patches and implementing website feature updates.
Provide documentation, maintenance, and support services.
Conduct quality assurance tests and perform website maintenance tasks, including updates, backups, and security enhancements.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Relevant Magento or Shopify certifications would be an added bonus.
Proven experience with databases and developing and customizing eCommerce websites using Shopify and Magento platforms.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and Javascript.
Experience with liquid template language (Shopify 2.x) and PHP frameworks (Magento 2.x).
Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git and Bitbucket.
Ability to adapt and discern the learning scope to meet project requirements.
Ability to customize and extend Shopify and Magento themes using HTML, CSS3 (LESS CSS pre-
processor), and JavaScript, jQuery. Also, RequireJS and Knockout.js are essential.
Advanced knowledge of Magento2.x API coding structure and Database architecture (MySQL or MariaDB relational database management system).
Solid understanding of Magento2.x System and Layouts.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
A team player who can work independently and seamlessly deliver multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on quality.
