Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Web Developer to join our Frontline Technology Support team. As a Web Developer, you will play a crucial role in building and expanding our current Joomla-based website. The ideal candidate will possess strong proficiency in Content Management Systems (CMS) and have a comprehensive understanding of the languages and coding required to develop and maintain CMS website, including MySQL.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with our team to design, develop, and maintain our website.
Customize and extend components, modules, and plugins to meet our specific requirements.
Implement new features and functionalities to enhance the user experience and overall performance of the website.
Perform routine website updates, bug fixes, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal functionality and user satisfaction.
Optimize the website for speed, scalability, and security.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in CMS development and recommend best practices to improve our website's performance and usability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, content creators, and IT support, to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Web Developer, specifically working with CMS.
In-depth knowledge of CMS, including its architecture, templates, extensions, and security features.
Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Strong understanding of PHP programming language and experience in developing applications and extensions.
Familiarity with MySQL and database management within CMS.
Ability to customize and modify existing templates and create new ones from scratch.
Knowledge of responsive web design principles and mobile optimization techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve issues efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and frameworks.
Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
Understanding of version control systems, such as Git.
