• The WordPress Developer will research, design, and implement technical specifications for projects
• Work in a team environment
• Ensure projects are built to meet performance, security, and functional requirements including scalability
• The WordPress Developer will oversee maintenance of websites, intranets, applications, and other custom programming assignments as applicable
• Assist with testing, debugging, documentation, and overall quality assurance of projects
• Implement animations and interactions in wordpress
• Monitor and improve design to maximize Leads and clicks on the website
• Develop new programs, analyze current programs and processes, and make recommendations
• The WordPress Developer will provide analysis of current programs which includes performance, diagnosis, troubleshooting of problem programs, and designing solutions to problematic programming
• Perform backend/database programming for key projects
• The WordPress Developer will stay up to date on industry standards and incorporate them appropriately
Requirements
• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, & WordPress
• Significant experience with WordPress content management system.
• Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
• 2+ years of experience in design, web development and e-commerce site maintenance
• Working knowledge of JavaScript/jQuery/PHP
• Understanding of basic SEO and analytics principles
• Experience with handing e-commerce website
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Ability to understand CSS changes to have consistent style across platforms and browsers
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
• Problem solver with the ability to think outside the box
• Experience manipulating and customizing website
• Comfortable adding/troubleshooting various plugins and add-ons
• Experience with Photoshop or other photo editors
• Highly dependable, very organized, able to work independently as well as with teams and a project manager.
• Provide accurate time estimations regarding website builds and maintenance
• Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs
