Web Developer

Location: IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai or Remote

Eligibility Criteria:

Full-time candidates and Interns who can join the team in the next 10 days need to only apply. Interns are also welcome to apply as long as they can work full-time for the next 3 months (Preference to candidates who can showcase a good personal project portfolio)

This is for a largescale govt project and timelines are very critical.

Job Details:

We are looking for Front-end developers who are proficient with React or Angular and back-end developers who are excellent in Django. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components, associated APIs and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux) and Django. You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
• Developing new user-facing features using React.js
• Building reusable components and libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimizing components for responsiveness and performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Integration of data storage solutions (Postgres, AWS S3)
• Building large scalable cloud platforms

Expected Skill Sets for Front-end Devs:
• Proficiency in Typescript and the JavaScript object model
• Understanding of React.js or Angular and it's core principles
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with modern build pipelines and tools
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Familiarity with Git and AWS

Expected Skill Sets for Back-end Devs:
• Expert in Python, with knowledge of at least one Python web framework
• Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries
• Familiarity with Django Rest Framework
• Familiarity with Git and AWS
• Familiarity with modern build pipelines and tools
