About the Role:
The web developer should be a creative problem solver who will work parallely with multi-functional teams to develop and maintain our next-generation websites and web tools while supporting the Marketing team with their SEO efforts. Must be comfortable working in a group while leading new projects.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Work with development leads in developing the low-level design of application components and ensure that the software designs comply with the specifications.
• Writing tested, idiomatic, and documented JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Perform code reviews of peer developers.
• Daily maintenance and backup of multiple websites which are a part of Synergy Marine Group.
• Passion for exploring new technologies.
• Ensure the performance, quality, operational stability and security of all applications.
• Write clean, high-quality code and tests while keeping the user experience fast and reliable.
• Participate in developing the complete life cycle of a project like design, coding, testing and production release.
• Maintain a log of all hosting and domain renewals.
• Contribute to Unit/Automation/Performance testing.
• Experience with dynamic page development using scripting languages like JSP, PHP.
• Understanding of content management systems and principles.
• Knowledge of mobile-first design/development strategies.
• Experience with Java application development: IDE, frameworks, version control, runtime, etc.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure principles and solutions.
• Experience with core web vitals/site speed optimization.
• Ability to build global/multilingual site development strategies.
• Familiarity with web analytics platforms, tag management platforms and associated technologies.
• Monitor the performance of the live website with the ability to create and present monthly website analytics reports.
• Working knowledge of information architecture, interaction design, and user centric design principles.
• Assist the graphic design team when required.
• Work with the marketing team to manage, development, test and launch SEO projects while monitoring performance across browsers.
• Help in crawl errors, canonicalization, webpage design issues, Meta Tags implementation, addition of canonical, noindex, nofollow, W3C Validation, 404 errors page optimization, AMP/PWA Pages review and web core vitals optimization.
• Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
• Generating WordPress themes and plugins.
• Conducting website performance tests.
• Troubleshooting content issues and assist in editing and updating changes in the website
