Why work with us?

At Council, we’re proud of our region. We collaborate with community to achieve truly sustainable outcomes, enhance our enviable lifestyle, and create award-winning places and spaces that are uniquely Sunshine Coast. So, if you love it here as much as we do, and you want to shape our region for the future – you’ll want to join our team!

With the vision to be Australia’s most sustainable region - Healthy, Smart, and Creative, council is at the forefront of delivering a number of region-shaping projects that will see the region become a hub for innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity, along with opportunities and a lifestyle for all to enjoy.

About the Role

As a delivery partner in the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games – you can be sure there’ll be many career-defining opportunities on the way.

In this role, you’ll be exposed to complex, interesting and challenging work. We’re a busy team managing a breadth of high quality, high impact work.

You will have extensive experience in corporate-level web content management systems, particularly in a headless CMS environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in problem resolution, project management, web governance, process management and task prioritisation within a medium to large organisation. Experience in managing site collections, term stores, providing support to users, setting up new sites, and staying up-to-date with software updates is essential. Experience with SharePoint is also a value.

Other key aspects include:

Web and Software Vendor Liaison: Serve as an intermediate point of contact with external software vendors, coordinating issue resolution, and assisting with the planning and implementation of future releases and upgrades. Ensuring alignment with council’s strategic objectives.
Web Analytics and Reporting: Conduct web analytics to create detailed reports for management, aimed at enhancing site performance, quality, efficiency, and adherence to standards. Begin to take on responsibilities for driving improvements based on these insights.
Governance and Policy Application: Support and apply council’s relevant Governance frameworks, policies, and guidelines more proactively in publishing web content and advising authors. Ensure the quality, usability, and accessibility of council's websites with a more autonomous role in content management. Assist with content lifecycle practices including sites, pages, content models, content, imagery and assets. Support the further development and ongoing lifecycle of web governance frameworks, policies and guidelines.
Professional Development and Knowledge Sharing: Engage in ongoing learning to stay updated with best practices and developments in Web/SharePoint technologies, usability, and accessibility standards. Start to lead knowledge sharing sessions for the team and author community, including training delivery and documentation of procedures.
Web Content and System Support: Provide intermediate level support for council cloud-based software applications and systems, ensuring adherence to ICT service level agreements. Begin to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Given we’re serving the most beautiful region in Australia, it’s hard not to feel pride for our work. This role has the potential to be extended for another twelve months.
