How You Will Contribute:

Ciena is looking for an energetic, highly motivated web technician to support our developer community. We're looking for a problem solver with excellent technical skills who can maintain our developer web portal. You'll also work with our writers and developers to ensure our content is up to date.
• Maintain HTML content on our developer portal
• Update web pages for each release
• Create CI/CD scripts for documentation projects
• Become an Antora expert
• Help with website improvements
• Project manage developer guides to ensure they are completed on time
• You'll be integral to the success of our 'early adopter' customers

The Must Haves
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to update documentation on a regular basis
• Ability to plan, schedule, and be flexible
• Experience with Antora, a static site generator for documentation
• Experience with Git, web development, and HTML/CSS
• Working knowledge of some programming languages, such as Java and Python
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Asciidoc a plus
• Self-motivated, self-directed, and capable of working both independently and in teams.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
