Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Creative Director to join our dynamic web3 company. As our Creative Director (Graphics + After Effects) you will be responsible for creating engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media to support our marketing efforts. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message.
Responsibilities:
• Provide design support for marketing and branding initiatives, such as creating graphics and other visual assets.
• Develop and maintain design guidelines.
• Concepts and produces high-quality creative work.
• Mentor and manage a team of graphic designers.
• Quality assurance/brand consistency for all new game assets.
• Collaborate and brainstorm with leadership on new ideas.
• Accepts constructive criticism and applies feedback.
• Lead design team and support for marketing and branding initiatives, such as creating graphics, motion and video animation and after effects.
• Proactively collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and strategize design projects in alignment with upcoming campaigns and brand objectives.
• Own and manage multiple design projects end-to-end, from concept to final deliverables, with a keen eye for detail, craftsmanship, and effective time management to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
• Initiate and implement the design reviews, feedback sessions, and brainstorming sessions to foster a collaborative and creative environment.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketing, to understand project requirements and translate them into visually appealing and functional designs.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, and apply them to enhance the overall quality of our design work.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
• Extremely user-focused mindset.
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, motion graphics or equivalent.
• 3+ years graphic design experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of design principles, including illustration, layout, typography, colour theory, after effects, motion/ video animation and user experience (UX/UI) design.
• Ability to work independently and self-sufficiently, taking ownership of design projects and driving them from concept to final deliverables.
• Passion for and deep understanding of the web3 space, including blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and decentralised applications.
• Familiarity with web3 design principles, including user-centric design, accessibility, and usability considerations.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) and similar design softwares.
• Ability to provide a portfolio showcasing a broad range of graphic design competencies.
• Ability to work as part of a project team as well as independently, global team settings a plus.
• Thrives working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with shifting priorities
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, incorporating feedback and iterating on designs as needed.
