Job Description
Magnolias Consulting Group is a fast-growing business service provider working within North America. We are currently seeking to hire an experienced Web Designer to help support our clients.
The individual will be responsible for creating great websites for our clients, including conceptualizing and implementing creative ideas for client websites, as well as creating visual elements that are in line with our clients’ branding. You will be working closely with our web development team to ensure a proper and hassle-free implementation.
Responsibilities:
Conceptualize creative ideas with clients and gather client feedback to refine website design.
Design visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.
Test and improve the design of websites.
Establish design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
Maintain the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards.
Work with different content management systems.
Communicate design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps and wireframes.
Incorporate functionalities and features into websites.
Design sample pages including colours and fonts.
Prepare design plans and presenting the website structure.
Leveraging user data and analytics to address usability issues and making strategic design and user-experience decisions.
Work with developers to improve user experience on existing websites.
Work simultaneously on multiple projects to support current client workload.
Qualifications & Skills:
A related degree or diploma is an asset.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience.
Possess a passion for web design, web-related technologies, and delivering an optimal user experience.
Understanding of designing intuitive site functionality, site architecture, and navigation.
Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and content management systems (WordPress).
Knowledge of the Adobe Suite of applications.
Excellent visual design skills.
Proficient understanding of search engine optimization principles.
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
Excellent communication skills.
Confidence and skill to communicate your ideas clearly.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with a high attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and change priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to problem solve and work creatively with limited resources.
Ability to create and produce strong conceptual designs within constraints.
Team-oriented, relationship builder with a positive attitude.
Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail.
Ability to receive and apply constructive criticisms from peers and clients
