Overview

A Wedding Planner plays a crucial role in orchestrating every aspect of a couple's special day, ensuring that it is executed seamlessly. Wedding Planners must possess strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to effectively communicate and coordinate with clients and vendors, ensuring that all elements align with the couple's desires and budget.

Key responsibilities

Create detailed wedding plans and timelines

Coordinate and liaise with vendors, such as florists, caterers, and photographers

Manage wedding budget and expenses

Assist in selecting wedding venues and themes

Provide regular updates to clients regarding progress and decisions

Handle logistics, including transportation and accommodations for guests

Address any issues or concerns that arise during the planning process

Oversee the setup and breakdown of the wedding event

Ensure all legal requirements and paperwork are in order, such as permits and contracts

Offer creative suggestions and innovative ideas to personalize the event

Manage and schedule appointments for dress fittings, tastings, and rehearsals

Collaborate with clients to design and execute a comprehensive wedding vision

Provide guidance and support to alleviate stress for the couple

Handle crisis management during the wedding day

Maintain accurate records and documentation

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field

Proven experience in event planning or wedding coordination

Strong understanding of wedding traditions, customs, and etiquette

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

Exceptional organization and time management skills

Creative mindset with an eye for detail

Proficiency in budget management and cost negotiation

Ability to remain composed under pressure

Knowledge of local wedding venues and vendors

Familiarity with event planning software and tools

Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends

Certification in Wedding Planning or Event Management is a plus
