As a Wedding Planning Intern at The Wedding Company, you will play a crucial role in the coordination and execution of weddings and events, ensuring they are executed seamlessly and exceed client expectations. This internship provides hands-on experience in event planning, vendor management, and client relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the wedding planning team in coordinating wedding events from inception to completion.
- Communicate effectively with clients to comprehend their wedding vision, preferences, and requirements.
- Support in the planning and organization of wedding events, ceremonies, and receptions.
- Coordinate with various vendors such as florists, caterers, decorators, photographers, and venues.
- Aid in managing budgets, timelines, and logistical aspects of wedding events.
- Ensure smooth execution of on-site event activities on the wedding day.
- Assist in creating and maintaining detailed event plans, schedules, and checklists.
- Maintain open and efficient communication with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Support the team with administrative tasks including maintaining event documentation and databases.
- Participate in post-event evaluations and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Qualifications Required:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or related fields.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Creative mindset with a passion for wedding planning and event management.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Previous experience in event planning or relevant internships is a plus.
