Job Description
About the role
As the Weigh Line Planner, your role will be involved in monitoring and allocating birds for processing across multiple lines and departments. With many moving parts this role will see you working alongside Supervisors to ensure departments are receiving the correct volumes of birds to meet customer orders on a daily basis.
This role never has a dull day so we are looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment and who takes changes in their step! You will be someone who loves a challenge and approaches all obstacles with an analytical and solutions focused eye. Planning and executing orders is your bread and butter with your strong attention to detail and focus on the bigger picture you will excel at allocating the right birds for optimal output whilst engaging with Supervisors across the manufacturing site.
Other responsibilities include;
Continuously monitoring bird drop and drop stations throughout departments and adjusting where necessary to ensure birds are allocated correctly
Calibrating the weigh line daily to ensure accuracy of bird weights
Communicating chain breakdowns to Supervisors and reallocating birds as required
Monitoring Gems, Scada and Scanvaegh databases
Accurately calculating kill times to ensure production is completed in a timely manner
Analysing and interpreting data to identify areas of improvement
To be successful in this role you will have:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
A clear understanding of the poultry industry would be preferred.
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
Excellent Microsoft skills, specifically Excel
Strong reporting and analytical skills
