CONSTANT is proud to be partnering with a leading provider in the Student Accommodation sector to offer a truly unique opportunity that goes beyond traditional roles. These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about student wellbeing, cultural diversity and community building.
Wellbeing Officers play a key part in ensuring students feel welcome, supported, and safe in their living environment. This role is about pastoral care, student engagement, and wellbeing support.
You will be part of a team that provides calm, capable and compassionate support to students from diverse local and international backgrounds. Your work will involve engaging with students, supporting wellbeing, monitoring the environment, and liaising with site partners and university services.
This is a permanent part-time role operating 24/7 on a 7-day rotating roster. This role is offering 24 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
Building rapport with students through positive, friendly engagement
Providing after-hours support and responding to wellbeing concerns
Conducting presence-based walkthroughs (not enforcement or surveillance)
Assisting with student lockouts, enquiries, or amenity access
Coordinating with on-call emergency or security services where needed
Logging incidents and updates in reporting systems
Supporting the delivery of engagement and community-building initiatives
Liaising with university staff and residential life teams
Light administrative and concierge-style responsibilities
What We’re Looking For:
Proven ability to build trust and respond effectively to incidents or concerns
A strong focus on safety, wellbeing, and community building
Experience in Allied Health, Education, Community Services, Multicultural Support, or Student Accommodation is highly valued
Current First Aid & CPR certification
Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months)
