Job Description
Wholesale Credit Policy is a key function to assess and enable action on the Bank's aggregate credit risk exposure in the wholesale portfolio. The incumbent supports the Wholesale Credit Risk team to review and develop the wholesale credit policies and procedures, enhance wholesale portfolio analyses pertaining to concentrations, topical stress test, industry analysis, country risk management and profitability trends. The incumbent liaisons with multiple teams viz. credit managers, operations, finance etc. in order to create quality and timely deliverables.
Job Responsibilities (JR): 6 – 8 Areas Actionable (4-6)
• Wholesale Credit Policies · Conduct policy changes based on proactive portfolio analysis, regulatory requirements, directions from the Board, senior management · Review of regulatory requirements and devising roadmap for implementation · Liaise with credit managers, operations teams, other risk teams to develop policy and operational procedures
• Policies/Board Notes/ Presentations · Timely preparation of policies/board notes/ presentations · Ad-hoc regulatory requirements · Handling of data requirements and responses for regulatory inspection
• On-going research into best practices, regulatory
• requirements, consultant literature
• · Ongoing review of regulatory developments, best practices, market trends, competitors · Inculcate the ideas in practice · Provide inputs/ad-hoc analyses to senior management regarding developments in regulatory frameworks and best practices across banks.
• Educational Qualifications Key Skills
• CA/ MBA in finance
• Should have worked in credit underwriting and have knowledge of industry sectors and regulatory framework and eye for detailing with an overall relevant work-ex of at least 13 years.
• Experience Required
• · Minimum experience in years – 5-8 years
• · Good exposure in framing wholesale credit policies/ wholesale portfolio analysis/ credit approval
• Good knowledge of pertinent regulatory guidelines
