Full job description
We are currently looking for a proactive and experienced WHS Manager to lead safety initiatives across diverse field operations.
As WHS Manager, you’ll:
Be a visible and influential leader, embedding safe practices across ecological restoration, wildlife management and environmental planning projects.
Work with passionate professionals who value integrity, continuous improvement and environmental stewardship.
Champion behavioural safety and mentor teams in remote and dynamic field settings, supported by ISO 45001-certified systems.
Lead WHS strategy and compliance across QLD and NSW field sites; delivering engaging training to the workforce, supporting return-to-work coordination, collaborating with management and liaising with regulators and industry bodies.
Maintain ISO 45001 certification by conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
About You
SUCCESS FACTORS
We’re looking for a confident and capable safety leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about embedding a culture of safety. To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
Certificate IV in WHS (mandatory) and preferably a degree/diploma in WHS or related field.
5+ years in WHS leadership, ideally in consultancy, construction, or environmental services.
Proven experience managing WHS systems and maintaining ISO 45001 certification.
Strong knowledge of QLD/NSW WHS legislation and ISO standards.
Skilled in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations and safety audits.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; influencing and engaging across all levels of the organisation.
Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively in field and office settings.
Proactive with analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, time management skills and high level of integrity.
Excellent communication, analytical and mentoring skills.
Willingness to travel across Queensland and New South Wales.
Possess Construction White Card, valid Australian driver’s licence, unrestricted working rights in Australia and current First aid & CPR certification ( or willingness to obtain).
