This position is for Windows Kernel driver expert with Storage and Ethernet expertise. The successful candidate will work with Internet of Things Group (IOTG) High Velocity Silicon Platform Engineering(HSPE) Software and Systems team, to work on Windows Kernel Driver Development for Storage drivers and Driver Performance optimizations towards building a competitive world-class product. This role will cut across a wide variety of Intel Internet of Things(IOT) SoC platforms.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Provide Inputs on Product landing zone requirements, Windows RST, Ethernet and Virtualization Driver requirements and high level architectural specifications.
- Architecture and design of Windows RST, Ethernet and driver performance management for IOTG platforms.
- Responsible for Windows kernel driver development, test and problem debug on both pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
- End-to-end development responsibility - Designs, develops debugs and tests on the target system.
- Technically Drive Windows Driver Power/Performance Optimizations / Identify Bottlenecks for all use cases/workload/KPI.
- Lead Driver Performance optimization related activities such as workshops and taskforces.
- Need to drive silicon bring up camps to prove successful execution of sub system functionality and support various system tracks. This requires strong preparation and alignment during pre-silicon development phase.
- Groom junior team members on technical activities based on project assignments.
Qualifications:
• Applicants should have a B.Tech / M.Tech in Electronics and Communications or Equivalent with 5+ yrs of exp.
• Good programming skills in C/C++ and assembly language.
• Should have strong development experience in Windows Kernel Driver and Virtualization domain.
• Good knowledge on different Windows driver types and various Windows Driver Models.
• In-depth experience in NDIS and NetAdapterCx framework based Windows Ethernet Driver development.
• Solid/in-depth driver development expertise in Storage and Ethernet domains along with experience in performance improvement of drivers.
• Strong hands-on experience in Windows Driver Issue analysis and debugging.
• Well versed with Windows Debugging and Tracing tools like WinDbg and WPP.
• Solid Software architecture fundamentals in Power management, OS, Real-Time systems and their synchronization and IPC mechanisms.
• Technical expertise in power and performance Optimizations in product - like understanding power benchmarking, end-to-end use case flow, IP level performance tweaking, optimal system configuration, Benchmarks for CPU, GPU, Memory access.
• Should be willing to work in highly cross-cultural, cross-disciplinary and cross-geographic locations.
• Strong analytical and communication skills is a must.
• Windows virtualization experience is preferred
