Assistant Fashion Designer Role
We are seeking a talented Assistant Fashion Designer to join our team. As an Assistant Fashion Designer, you will play a crucial role in the development and design of women's wear collections.
Your primary responsibility will be to assist the lead designer in researching fashion trends and creating mood boards. You will also help select fabrics, colors, prints, and trims for new collections, create initial sketches and designs for approval and adaptation, and oversee the production process to ensure designs are executed accurately.
You will work closely with the marketing team to provide creative input for campaigns and photoshoots, coordinate with suppliers and vendors for sourcing materials, and participate in fittings to make necessary adjustments to designs.
To succeed in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field, 12 years of experience in fashion design, preferably in women's apparel, and a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and creativity.
Additionally, you should be proficient in fashion design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, have an excellent understanding of garment construction and fabric behavior, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
