Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Women's wear Designer to join our design team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong aesthetic sensibility, hands-on experience, and a deep understanding of current fashion trends and tailoring. The ideal candidate should be able to translate the brand’s vision into contemporary, wearable designs while bringing fresh ideas and consistency to seasonal collections.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop seasonal collections in line with the brand’s identity and creative direction.
Research global fashion trends, fabrics, and silhouettes to inspire original design concepts.
Work closely with the sampling and production teams to create prototypes and final garments with a focus on fit, construction, and finish.
Contribute to fabric and trim sourcing, ensuring alignment with the design language.
Create and maintain detailed tech packs, line sheets, and moodboards for internal use and external partners.
Assist in fittings, make design corrections, and ensure timely delivery of samples.
Collaborate with the merchandising and marketing teams to support lookbooks, campaigns, and client presentations.
Attend client appointments or events as needed, especially for custom or home shopping clients.
Qualifications & Skills
Degree or diploma in Fashion Design.
3–5 years of hands-on design experience in an indian premium or designer brand.
Strong understanding of tailoring, construction techniques, and fabric behavior.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and design software; familiarity with CAD is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a keen eye for detail.
A portfolio that reflects strong conceptual thinking, commercial sensibility, and execution skills.
