Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and creative Assistant Fashion Designer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development and design of women's wear collections.
You will collaborate with the lead designer in researching fashion trends and creating mood boards, select fabrics, colors, prints, and trims for new collections, create initial sketches and designs for approval and adaptation.
You will also oversee the production process, ensuring designs are executed accurately, work with the marketing team to provide creative input for campaigns and photoshoots, coordinate with suppliers and vendors for sourcing materials.
And participate in fittings and make necessary adjustments to designs.
To succeed in this role you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in fashion design, preferably in women's apparel.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity.
- Proficient in fashion design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Excellent understanding of garment construction and fabric behavior.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics.
