Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Director of Womens Sales to join our small but growing team and business! We are looking to hire someone with a strong track record of developing new business opportunities, maximizing trends, and exceeding sales goals; someone with a proven ability to build solid relationships, motivate a team, with recognized success in customer excellence; strong negotiation skills to achieve greater profitability; and someone with a strong background in Womens apparel and or outerwear.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading all sales functions for Womens outerwear including identify and communicate opportunities to increase profitability.
Ability to work closely with a team inclusive of sales, production, design, etc.
Establish and cultivate professional relationships with all major department stores.
Strategize with Sales team and President/CEO on new initiatives to drive sales and support planning objectives.
Collaborate with design team on trends; color; silhouette; and product offerings.
Collaborate with design and production to optimize costs and increase margins.
Shop competition monthly
Negotiate end of season profitability and create seasonal strategies to drive profit.
Ad Hoc projects
Qualifications
+5-7 years experience as a Womens Apparel and Outerwear Sales
Excellent relationships with department stores, DMMs, and independent retailers such as: Kohls, Costco, Nordstrom, Belk, Dillards, Dicks, Proshop
Entrepreneurial; Hands On; Creative problem solver and strategic thinker
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office
Excellent showroom presentation and sales skills
Flexibility to travel as needed to support assigned accounts.
