Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Wood Worker to join our Production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and finishing custom and production cabinetry and furniture components according to drawings and specifications. This role requires precision, efficiency, and strict adherence to quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and blueprints
Operate woodworking machinery including saws, milling machines, sanders, drill presses, lathes, shapers, routers, and planers
Cut, shape, and assemble wood, MDF, plywood, and composite materials
Apply and trim plastic laminate (Formica or similar)
Work with wood veneer (layout, matching, pressing, trimming, finishing)
Perform sanding, surface preparation, and minor finishing
Inspect completed products to ensure quality and accuracy
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Follow company procedures and production schedules
Report material shortages or equipment issues
Qualifications
High school diploma preferred
5–7 years of experience as a Cabinet Maker or Woodworker (preferred)
Strong knowledge of woodworking tools and machinery
Experience with laminate and veneer work
Ability to accurately read measuring tools and shop drawings
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Reliable and able to work independently or in a team
Physical & Working Conditions
Standing for extended periods
Repetitive tasks
Lifting up to 50 lbs
Manufacturing environment with noise and dust exposure
PPE required (safety glasses, hearing protection, safety footwear)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50-$25.00 per hour
