Summary: For our portfolio of WordPress websites, the WordPress Developer will be in charge of a variety of delivery and maintenance activities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Creating custom themes and plugins;
• Converting websites from other platforms to WordPress;
• Integrating and configuring plugins like WPML, WooCommerce, Membership, etc.;
• Increasing WordPress sites' page loading speeds;
• Applying SEO best practises;
• Working with version control tools like GIT / SVN;
• Managing multiple projects at once;
• Creating high-quality WP content
Requirements:
• Strong understanding of the WordPress platform;
• proficiency in creating custom WordPress themes and plugins;
• proficiency in WP plugin integration (WooCommerce WPML, Membership plugins etc)
• Understanding of object-oriented programming, proficiency in creating custom WordPress themes and plugins, and proficiency in WP plugin integration (WooCommerce, WPML, Membership plugins etc)
• Understanding of object-oriented programming;
• Knowledge of WordPress architecture;
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript;
• Proficiency in PHP/MYSQL and AJAX;
• Knowledge of database and code optimization for WordPress;
• Experience integrating payment gateways;
• in-depth knowledge of cross-browser compatibility concerns
• Having a solid grasp of responsive web design principles;
• Being aware of W3C Web Standards, Semantics, and Accessibility Guidelines
• The capacity to manage several activities and projects at once
• Meticulous organisation and attention to detail
• React/AngularJS experience (preferred)
• Excellent spoken and written English;
• the capacity to adapt to a varied and multicultural setting;
• familiarity with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML);
• ability to design and implement website back-ends that integrate databases and servers.
