PenguinPeak Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a talented and motivated WordPress Developer with 1–2 years of experience to join our growing team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in custom WordPress development, backend functionality, and website performance optimization. You will be responsible for developing high-quality websites, building custom features, and maintaining scalable and secure WordPress solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop custom WordPress themes from scratch based on design and project requirements.
• Build and maintain custom WordPress plugins, widgets, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) based solutions.
• Work with PHP, MySQL, WordPress hooks, filters, and APIs to create custom backend functionality.
• Customize and extend existing WordPress plugins according to project needs.
• Develop and customize WooCommerce websites, including product setup, checkout customization, and plugin integrations.
• Integrate REST APIs and third-party services such as payment gateways, CRMs, and external platforms.
• Use WordPress CLI (WP-CLI) and follow proper development workflows for efficient development and deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and compatibility problems.
• Ensure websites follow best coding standards and WordPress development practices.
Technical Requirements
✔ 1–2 years of experience in WordPress development
✔ Strong experience with custom WordPress theme development
✔ Ability to build custom WordPress plugins, widgets, and ACF-based solutions
✔ Good backend development knowledge including PHP, MySQL, WordPress hooks, filters, and APIs
✔ Experience with WooCommerce development and customization
✔ Experience with API integrations (REST APIs and third-party services)
✔ Knowledge of WordPress CLI (WP-CLI) and development workflows
✔ Ability to customize and enhance existing WordPress plugins
Performance & Optimization
✔ Mandatory ability to optimize websites for speed, performance, and security
✔ Strong understanding of caching, database optimization, and performance improvements
✔ Ability to develop websites that are fast, secure, and scalable
Added Advantage
Experience with Shopify Liquid or Shopify theme customization will be considered a plus.
