Our Engineering Team
Keka Engineering Team follows modern engineering practices and works with the latest stack. Refactoring is central to our philosophy to evolve the design, maintain code consistency and adapt to dynamic business needs. We believe in DevOps practices, there is no fixed release cycle; our CI/CD pipeline, deployment automation, blue-green deployment, and other related practices give us the flexibility to deploy multiple times a day (if required). Our Engineering team is made up of small cohesive teams embracing Agile; working on focus areas to deliver awesome experiences to our customers. Keka Engineering Team works on complex technical challenges, learns & adapts, and most importantly; we have fun along the way.
We're looking to hire 2+years of experience skilled WordPress developer to implement an attractive and functional website. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain responsive WordPress websites, themes, and plugins using industry best practices.
• Collaborate with designers and other team members to transform wireframes and mock-ups into functional web pages.
• Ensure the technical feasibility and optimization of UI/UX designs.
• Implement and test website features, including cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services, as required.
• Stay current with the latest WordPress and front-end development trends, and apply this knowledge to improve existing projects and develop new ones.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and colleagues, as needed.
• Participate in regular team meetings, project reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development.
• Solid understanding of front-end web development technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Proficiency in PHP and MySQL, with a strong understanding of WordPress core functions and best practices.
• Experience with responsive web design and mobile-first development approaches.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with performance optimization techniques, including caching, minification, and content delivery networks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0, ADA, etc.) and SEO best practices.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks, such as React or Vue.
• Familiarity with CSS preprocessors like Sass or LESS.
• Experience with task runners, such as Gulp or Webpack.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator
