WordPress Developer
Description
We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including working with custom developed WordPress themes and plugins.
This position requires a combination of programming skills such as PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems.
Experience with responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. Also, an understanding of the entire application development life-cycle, including design, development, and deployment is preferred.
Responsibilities
• Imagine, design, and build front-end and back-end Word Press projects for us and our clients
• Collaborate with design and copy teams to translate campaigns and activation into optimized web elements - including websites, micro-sites, landing pages, and forms
• Use Wordpress to power mobile apps using frameworks like Phonegap and Apppresser
• Regularly update, maintain, and troubleshoot problems on existing Wordpress sites
• Integrate with third-party APIs
• Implement UX designs that meet business objectives and user needs
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding technical questions and timelines
Qualifications and Skills
• MINIMUM 2 YEARS of proven work experience.
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development and familiarity with customizing WordPress and integrating third-party plugins
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience with MySQL database or other relational database management systems
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
• Experience with CSS preprocessors (e.g. SASS or LESS)
• Ability to follow modern coding standards, guidelines, and deployment processes
• Strong attention to detail
